The aspiration of this event is to have groups walk as many different angles or Degrees of London as possible... from the "edge" to the "centre" of London.
Walking in small groups this is an opportunity to record and share experiences of one day in the capital. As many as 24 groups will tweet, film, record, paint and talk as they walk to a final location where we will share and compare our urban days in our co-created exhibition.
The purpose of the walk is the walk itself. Anyone is welcome to take part.
To take part..
1. Sign Up
RSVP on this page and then join a group that is taking part on the day. Do this by checking this map of starting points and picking where you would like to start from and then looking at the groups that have already been created here. Please fill from the bottom up, starting with group 1. This is so we cover as much of London as we can. If a group is yet to be created, start it yourself using the format of this one. Groups can be as small as you like, but try and aim for four and don't go over six (unless all the groups get full up).
2. The Plan
Each group will need to have its own plan. We will all be heading for Ye Olde Cock Tavern on Fleet Street in Central London. The function room will be ready for us from 17:15.. sunset is at 18:00... and we'll start sharing presentations at 19:30... so please aim to arrive within that period. The room is big enough for 100 people and we've got our own bar. If we go over 100 people we'll spill into the main pub.
Each group needs to:
3. Explore & Experience
4. Express
An important part of the day is to (re)present and express our discoveries, experiences and explorations.
All groups should:
You could also tweet using #urbanstory.
