Event Description

This walk is going to focus on children and outdoor play. Inspired by an exploration through part of London, participants will be invited to meet others who are interested in discussing childhoods, play, cities, dangers and risks.

This is not a led walk, but a joint exploration. The route will be co-created as we walk a route based on available mapping on places to play and risk.

We will meet at 11am at Fresh Beverages near Whitechapel underground station on the Central Line. We will depart at 11.30(ish) and walk for around 4 hours.

Taking part is FREE but at your own risk!

This event is being organised with the LASER Alliance for practical safety education.

Will be there for the start. I may need to dip out after a couple of hours. Glamis is well worth a visit!

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe we can collaboratively start coming up with places and this could help to make the route? Can you share a map pin?

Hey, there is a great adventure playground you could build into your walk, or even use as a base to start from.  We helped re-open Glamis Adventure Playground in Shadwell, Tower Hamlets and in 2007 it became London's adventure playground of the year.  It is built on the ideology of kids being allowed to take risks and determine risk factors for themselves.  Just an idea...

Don't think I can make it unfortunately, but will pass on the word... do u promote stuff on fb too?
